Would you want to listen to new bands and solo artists? What about watching a play or a musical? You can see all these things in one place: Sydney Festival 2013. Sydney Festival is a annual program that takes place every January for three weeks. There are a myriad of interviews, visual arts, films, dance, and music to experience. The festival meets the needs for art enthusiasts or lurkers; the young and the old; and anyone from outside of Sydney.
Festival director Lieven Bertels and the Sydney Festival team has revealed what will happen during the three week festivity. There is a total of 92 events with 18 free events. The total performances that will be at the festival is 360. Over 750 national and international artists will attend. Sydney has major theatres, beaches, an opera house, and even a skate park! Dancing, storytelling, singing, and much more will take place at this spectacular festival. The event will take place January 5 through January 27. Don’t wait until next year to visit!
