The fourth annual festival, from 25 May to 11 June will prominently feature over 100 creative industry exhibits.
This year?s theme is a commemoration of the original inhabitants of the Sydney basin. 3D digital mapping projections will be displayed across iconic downtown buildings to express visual impressions of the six seasons of the Indigenous calendar. Enhance your visual experience this year by taking in the work of local and international musicians performing at Vivid LIVE at the Sydney Opera House. Discuss with your friends and family the meaning of the displays, along with leading global creative thinkers who will debate the art in public talks at Vivid Ideas Exchange at the MCA.
500,000 Sydneysiders and visitors are expected to witness the event this year. With over 60 light installations that stretch the canvass of this important global capital, Vivid Sydney Festival 2012 is a celebration of lights, music, and ideas that you need to see to believe.
